Editor-in-Chief

Joshua Lorenzo Newett wears a lot of hats at j.new books: editor-in-chief, voice over man, director of operations, interior(book block) designer, and sales and marketing dude. He also owns Washington Private School in Jinju, Republic of Korea where he lives with his wife, two sons, and imaginary dog. He is in the process of slipping into the cracks between countries.

Cover Artist

Amber Staedtler is our cover designer and an abstract, intuitive, expressionist artist, designer and illustrator. Inspired by the female existence she uses form, color and movement to express the love, loss and pain of her journey as a woman, mother, friend and lover. Every piece she create captures a moment in her time, moments that may never to be seen or heard from again. When she’s not in the studio painting, she continues her 17 year journey as a graphic designer and illustrator, creating strong, creatively driven artwork for fashion, home, books and rebranding.
